Ladies,
Today begins a series of days where I am challenging myself to be more intentional about how I live my life. My personal goal is to become stronger physically, (I have some chronic health stuff, it’s a slow healing process). But really, we can be more intentional about a lot of things!
What I have found is that we keep ourselves so busy, we barely have time to breath! But if we don’t let ourselves breathe, nothing else can happen…and certainly we can’t perform at our best. So here is the first part of the challenge – before you do anything, like:
- Eat Something
- Get Dressed
- Work or Work Out
- Speak to Someone
- Shift Gears in Your Day
Pause, Breathe, and Think.
It’s hard to do! We have so many things pulling at us all the time…but then we forget WHY we are doing them! My friends, it is so crucial to our livelihood, and the lives of those around us, that we think about what we are doing, and why we do it. This is true for companies and their brand, it’s true of people and their brand. Are you living to eat, or eating to live? Are you working to feed your family? Or is work taking precedence over your family?
I’m not asking us to solve all of life’s big questions right now, I’m just suggesting we take 2 weeks – starting today, to learn to think about what we’re doing, and make sure we’re making the choices we want to make. You can do it! That’s why I’m posting these ridiculous videos – to give me a reason to be accountable. I’ll always work harder when someone is watching…don’t you?
Let’s do it together, let’s be intentional…and then…you never know what opportunities or ideas will pop up. I just had an impromptu coaching session with a new friend. I didn’t realize that she was taking classes and getting ready to take her first baby steps as an entrepreneur. When she asked for advice, I was present, and ready to share, even though I was not specifically prepared for the situation. That means, that my work is a part of me, I am true to myself, I am my brand! Great validation for me, and – she said – helpful guidelines for her. A win-win.
